Our story
Stillwater opened in 2019 with a simple idea: give the coast a room where time slows down. Our float tanks hold body-temperature water saturated with Epsom salt, so you drift weightless in warm, silent dark. Pair a float with massage or the infrared sauna and leave lighter than you arrived.
How it works
How floating works
Your first visit is easy. Here is what an hour in the tank looks like.
- 1
Arrive & shower
Settle in, rinse off in your private float suite, and pop in the earplugs we provide. No swimsuit needed — every room is fully private.
- 2
Float in stillness
Step into body-temperature water buoyed by 500 kg of Epsom salt. Dim the lights, let the music fade, and drift weightless for a full 60 minutes.
- 3
Ease back out
Soft music signals the end. Shower again, then linger in our quiet tea lounge to rehydrate before heading back into the day.
Kind words
From our guests
I came in wound tight from a brutal work week and left feeling like I had slept for ten hours. The float room is silent in the best way.
The float-and-massage combo is my monthly reset. Weightless for an hour, then the best deep-tissue work in the city.
I was nervous about feeling closed in, but the tank door stays open as much as I want and the staff walked me through everything. Total calm.

Good to know
What should I bring?
Just yourself. We provide towels, earplugs, robes, and everything for the shower. Leave contact lenses out and skip shaving the same day to avoid stinging from the salt.
What if I feel claustrophobic?
You are always in control. The tank door never locks and you can leave it open, keep a light on, or step out at any time. Most people who worry about this end up loving the openness of the space.
How often should I float?
For general stress relief, once or twice a month is a lovely rhythm. If you are working through pain, sleep issues, or training recovery, weekly floats compound nicely. We have memberships for regulars.
Are there reasons I should not float?
Please reschedule if you have open wounds, a contagious skin condition, or have recently coloured your hair. If you are pregnant, epileptic, or managing a medical condition, check with your doctor first and let us know so we can look after you.
