Our story
Stillpoint opened in 2014 as a small, unhurried clinic where care is built around you rather than the clock. Our licensed acupuncturists draw on traditional Chinese medicine — acupuncture, cupping, gua sha, and herbal support — to ease tension, support sleep, and help you feel more settled. Every visit begins by listening, and we work in gentle series rather than quick fixes.
How it works
How care works here
Treatment unfolds in three unhurried stages, shaped around what your body needs.
- 1
Book an assessment
Start with a new-patient assessment. We talk through your history, sleep, stress, and goals, and take time to understand the whole picture before any needles.
- 2
Receive your treatment plan
Your acupuncturist maps out a gentle plan — which therapies, how often, and what to notice between visits — so you always know where the care is heading.
- 3
Feel the shift over a series
Acupuncture works best with rhythm. Over a short series you may notice steadier sleep, softer tension, and a calmer baseline as we adjust the plan with you.
Kind words
From our guests
I came in for stress that had settled into my shoulders and jaw. A few sessions in, I was sleeping through the night again. The room is so quiet I almost dozed off on the table.
My acupuncturist actually listened before doing anything. The cupping left me looser than any massage has, and nothing ever felt rushed.
I was nervous about needles, but the first visit was so gentle I barely felt them. Community acupuncture has become my reset every couple of weeks.

Good to know
Does acupuncture hurt?
For most people, no. The needles are hair-thin and far finer than the ones used for shots or blood draws. You may feel a brief, dull tingle as a point activates, then most people relax deeply — many drift off on the table.
Do you take insurance?
We are out-of-network but provide a detailed superbill you can submit to your insurer or HSA/FSA. Coverage for acupuncture varies by plan, so we recommend checking your benefits before your first visit. Payment is collected at the time of service.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on what you are working through and how long it has been present. Many people start with a short series of four to six visits so we can build momentum, then taper to occasional maintenance. We will revisit the plan together as you go.
What should I expect on my first visit?
Plan for about 75 minutes. We begin with a thorough intake about your health, sleep, and stress, followed by a gentle treatment. Wear loose, comfortable clothing, have a light meal beforehand, and give yourself an easy evening afterward.
Book a treatment
Online booking takes about a minute. New patients begin with an assessment so we can tailor your plan from the first visit.
