Good to know
How long does my hair need to be?
For the best results, hair should be about a quarter inch long — roughly two to three weeks of growth, or the length of a grain of rice. If it is shorter the wax may not grip; if it is much longer we can trim it down before we begin. When in doubt, book anyway and we will assess in the room.
What is the difference between waxing and sugaring?
Both remove hair from the root. Hard wax is applied warm and hardens before we lift it, gripping the hair rather than the skin. Sugaring uses a room-temperature paste of sugar, water, and lemon, applied and flicked off in the direction of growth — a favourite for very sensitive skin. We offer both and are happy to recommend one when you arrive.
I have sensitive skin — is this for me?
Absolutely. Many of our guests come to us specifically for reactive skin. We use low-temperature hard wax and gentle sugaring, soothe the area before and after, and keep formulas low-irritation. Let us know about any allergies, recent treatments, or medications when you book so we can plan accordingly.
What should I expect on my first visit?
Arrive a few minutes early to fill out a short intake form. Your esthetician will talk through your goals, recommend wax or sugaring, and walk you through aftercare. First-time guests receive intro pricing — just mention it when you book — and there is never any pressure to add services.
