Our story

Ronin Dojo was built in 2015 by fighters who were tired of flashy gyms that promised everything and taught nothing. We do the opposite: clean mats, real fundamentals, and coaches who push you exactly as hard as you need. Striking on one side, grappling on the other, and a culture where every belt from white to black trains together with respect. You will sweat, you will get tapped, and you will leave sharper than you arrived. That is the whole point.

Kind words

From our guests

I walked in soft and out of shape. Six months of BJJ fundamentals later I am stronger, calmer, and getting tapped a lot less. The coaches actually correct your details instead of just running drills.
Andre W. · BJJ blue belt
My striking has a home here. The sparring class is intense but controlled — nobody is trying to take your head off, everybody is trying to make you better. Best room in the city.
Priya N. · Kickboxing & sparring regular
I send both my kids to the youth program and they have never been more disciplined. Respect, focus, falling down and getting back up. Worth every dollar.
Marcus D. · Parent of two students

Good to know

Do I need any experience to start?

None at all. Most people who walk through our doors have never trained a day in their life. Beginner-friendly classes assume zero background — we teach you how to stand, move, fall, and breathe before anything else. Just book a free trial and we will take care of the rest.

What should I bring to my first class?

For striking, wear shorts or athletic pants and a t-shirt, and bring a water bottle. For grappling, we will lend you a clean gi for your trial — just come with shorts and a fitted shirt underneath. No shoes are worn on the mat. Once you join, we will help you pick out your own gear.

What ages do the kids classes cover?

Our kids martial arts program runs for ages 5 to 13, split into younger and older groups so coaching stays age-appropriate. Classes focus on discipline, coordination, and confidence in a safe, supervised setting. Teens 14 and up are welcome to train in our adult classes.

How do memberships and belt promotions work?

Memberships are month-to-month with unlimited access to every class on the schedule — no long contracts. Belts are earned, not bought: promotions are based on attendance, technique, and time on the mat, awarded by the head coaches when you are genuinely ready. Everyone progresses at their own pace.
