Our story

Marigold Dance opened in 2014 with sprung floors, tall windows, and a simple idea: that the discipline of classical technique and the joy of moving belong in the same room. We teach ballet, contemporary, and tap to students from age three to adult, with class sizes kept small so every dancer is seen and corrected with care. Whether you are stepping into a studio for the first time or training toward an audition, you will find a place at the barre here.

How it works

New to the studio?

First time at the barre with us? Here is how to begin.

  1. 1

    Book your first class

Make an account, choose any class that fits your level and schedule, and book your complimentary first drop-in. No commitment — just claim a spot and come move.

  2. 2

    Borrow shoes & warm up

Arrive ten minutes early. We keep loaner ballet and tap shoes in most sizes, point you to the changing rooms, and give you time to settle and warm up before class begins.

  3. 3

    Find your level

Your teacher watches how you move and suggests where to go next — fundamentals, an intermediate flow, or a pre-professional track. We will help you build a schedule that grows with you.

Kind words

From our guests

I started Ballet Fundamentals at thirty-eight, sure I had missed my chance. A year later it is the hour I protect most, and the teachers correct me like I belong there — because I do.
Priya M. · Adult Ballet Fundamentals
Both my kids are here, and the difference from their old studio is night and day. Small classes, real technique, and teachers who clearly adore what they do. Showcase day had me in tears.
Daniel R. · Dance parent
The pre-professional intensive pushed me harder than I knew I could go and got me audition-ready. My coaches treated my goals as seriously as I did.
Aisha O. · Pre-Professional student

Good to know

Do I need any experience to start?

Not at all. Ballet Fundamentals, Adult Tap, and our pre-ballet and youth classes are built for true beginners, and every class offers options for newer dancers. Tell us it is your first time and we will place you where you will feel supported, not lost.

What should I wear and bring?

Wear fitted, comfortable clothes you can move in — leggings or shorts and a top that stays put. Ballet is done in soft slippers and tap in tap shoes; we keep loaner pairs in most sizes for your first few classes, so you can try before buying. Bring a water bottle and tie long hair back.

What age groups do you teach for kids?

Pre-Ballet is for ages 3 to 5, Youth Ballet runs from roughly ages 6 to 12, and our Pre-Professional intensive is for committed teen dancers training toward auditions. If you are unsure where your child fits, message us their age and experience and we will recommend a class.

Do you hold recitals or showcases?

Yes — our biggest is the annual Spring Showcase each May, where every level from pre-ballet to pre-professional performs on a real stage. Participation is always optional, and we add extra rehearsals in the weeks beforehand so dancers feel ready and proud.
