Our story
Maison Vergé was founded on a quiet conviction: a wedding gown should be built like architecture and finished like jewellery. Every commission begins with a blank sheet and ends with three to five fittings in our atelier, where the same pair of hands sees it from first toile to final stitch.
Kind words
From our brides
I cried at the first toile — before there was even a stitch of silk. They saw the dress before I could describe it.
Five fittings, and not one felt rushed. The gown fit like it had grown on me. Nothing off a rail comes close.
Ten years on, my daughter is wearing it next spring. That is the whole point, isn’t it.

The commission
How far ahead should I commission?
Nine to twelve months is ideal — it leaves room for three to five fittings without pressure. We take a small number of expedited commissions each season; ask the atelier about availability.
What does a commission cost?
Bespoke gowns begin at $9,500 and rise with fabric, beadwork, and hand-finishing. You receive a full estimate after the first consultation, and a 50% deposit reserves your place in the atelier calendar.
Do you work with brides outside New York?
Yes. Out-of-town brides typically schedule fittings in clusters around travel. We can also coordinate with a trusted local seamstress for interim measurements.
Can you remake or restore a family gown?
We do take a limited number of heirloom restorations and redesigns each year, treating the original fabric as the starting material. Bring it to a consultation and we will tell you honestly what is possible.
