Our story

Harborview Animal Hospital was built to make vet visits calmer for everyone — pets and the people who love them. We take a fear-free approach, moving at your pet’s pace and using gentle handling so appointments feel less stressful. Our team explains what we see in plain language, walks through your options before any treatment, and shares costs up front. From a wiggly new puppy to a senior cat who needs a little extra patience — and the occasional rabbit, reptile, or bird — we welcome every patient with warmth and steady, attentive care.

Kind words

From our guests

My cat usually hates the vet, but the team here took it slow and let her settle in. She was calm the whole time and so was I. We finally found our clinic.
Priya N. · Annual wellness exam
Our puppy had an upset tummy and they squeezed us in the same day. They explained everything clearly and were upfront about the cost before any tests.
Marcus L. · Same-day sick visit
It’s hard to find a vet who knows reptiles. They were patient with our bearded dragon and clearly genuinely care about exotics. Highly recommend.
Renee F. · Exotic pet checkup

Good to know

I’m a new patient — how do I get started?

Welcome! Just book a new-patient exam online and, if you can, bring along any prior medical or vaccine records from your previous vet. We’ll spend extra time on that first visit getting to know your pet, reviewing their history, and building a care plan that fits.

How does payment and pet insurance work?

Payment is due at the time of your visit, and we’ll always review estimated costs with you before any treatment. We’re happy to provide itemized invoices for pet insurance reimbursement, and our team can talk through payment options during your appointment.

What should I do for an emergency after hours?

During our open hours, call us right away at +1-206-555-0179 and we’ll guide you. When we’re closed, please contact your nearest 24-hour emergency animal hospital — for any life-threatening situation, head straight to an emergency clinic.

Do you really see exotic pets?

Yes — alongside cats and dogs, we care for many small mammals, reptiles, and birds, including rabbits, guinea pigs, and bearded dragons. If you’re unsure whether we see your species, give us a call before booking and we’ll let you know.

What should I bring to my pet’s first visit?

Bring any previous medical and vaccination records, a list of current medications or diet, and a note of any questions or changes you’ve noticed. Dogs do best on a leash and cats and small pets are safest in a secure carrier.

Ready when you are

Book online in under a minute. New patients and rescue pets are always welcome, and our team is happy to answer any questions before your first visit.
