Our story

Field & Frame is a small studio with a simple belief: the best images come from paying attention. We work in a quiet, considered way — light first, then expression, then the details that make a frame yours. Whether it is a single portrait, a season of brand work, or a day-long event, every session starts with a conversation and ends with a gallery you are proud to share. No filler, no rushing the shutter. Just careful, editorial work that holds up long after the day is done.

How it works

How a session works

  1. 1

    Book a discovery call

We start with a free, no-pressure call to talk through what you are picturing — the people, the purpose, the feel — and confirm the right session and a date.

  2. 2

    Plan the shoot

Together we build a simple plan: location and light, wardrobe or styling notes, shot priorities, and a clear schedule so the day runs calm and on time.

  3. 3

    Receive your gallery

We edit with a careful, editorial hand and deliver a private online gallery of high-resolution images, ready to download, share, and license for the use we agreed on.

Kind words

From our guests

The portraits felt like me on my best, most natural day. The whole session was calm and intentional — I never once felt posed.
Mara V. · Individual portrait
Our brand library finally looks cohesive. They understood the editorial direction immediately and delivered images we are still using everywhere.
Jordan T. · Brand half-day session
They covered our launch event beautifully and stayed out of the way the whole night. The gallery told the story better than I could have.
Priya K. · Event coverage

Good to know

What is your turnaround time?

Portrait and headshot galleries are typically delivered within 7 to 10 days. Brand and product work runs about two weeks depending on volume, and event galleries are usually ready within 10 business days. If you need images sooner, a rush option is available — just flag it on your discovery call.

What do I receive, and how does licensing work?

Every session is delivered as a private online gallery of fully edited, high-resolution images you can download. Personal sessions include a license for personal use and printing. Brand, product, and editorial work includes a commercial usage license scoped to the channels we agree on up front, so you know exactly where the images can run.

Where do you shoot, and do you travel?

We work in our Brooklyn studio and on location across New York City. Sessions within the five boroughs include local travel; shoots beyond the metro area or out of state are happily arranged with travel quoted ahead of time. We will confirm the location and any travel as part of planning the shoot.

What happens if I need to reschedule?

Life happens. We ask for at least 72 hours notice to move a session, and your deposit carries over to the new date at no charge. For outdoor sessions we also keep a weather hold and will reschedule together if the light will not cooperate.

Let us make something

Tell us about the images you need and we will plan the rest. Booking takes a minute, and the first call is always on us.
